Acephate Pro 75 is used on mounds for fire ant control. This water soluble insecticide is easily absorbed by plant roots and foliage, giving a systemic control of feeding insects. Insects, such as fire ants are generally controlled more effectively by ingestion of the Acephate 75 SP than by contact. Use 1-2 teaspoons of this fire ant killer per fire ant mound. This lb can of Acephate 75 will treat up to 96 mounds at 1 teaspoon per mound.
- Controls Fire Ant Mounds , Turfgrass, Residential, recreational and commercial turf, Non-crop areas (field borders, fencerows, roadsides, ditchbanks, borrow pits).
- Evenly distribute 1-2 teaspoons over the mound. For best results, apply early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the fire ants are most active.
- Applications made under prolonged hot and dry conditions may be ineffective due to the location of the ants deep in the nest. Grass in treated areas may be injured. Use with caution around water sources.
